Robotics has become one of the most remarkable achievements of the 21st century, transforming every sphere of human life. From industrial production to healthcare, education, and everyday activities, robots play an increasingly important role in performing operations that are too dangerous, repetitive, or precise for humans. The integration of robotics into society marks the beginning of a new technological era, where artificial intelligence, automation, and human–machine collaboration become fundamental drivers of progress. Modern robotics combines mechanical engineering, electronics, programming, and data science into one integrated field. Industrial robots are now widely used for assembly, welding, transportation, and packaging (Portley, 2024).

These systems operate 24 hours a day, significantly improving production quality and efficiency. Robots can also perform tasks in extreme environments, such as underwater exploration or operations in space, where human presence would be impossible or too risky. In medicine, robotic systems such as the Da Vinci Surgical System allow surgeons to perform minimally invasive operations with unprecedented precision. Medical robots help reduce recovery time and minimize the risk of complications. In addition, rehabilitation and exoskeleton robots assist patients with limited mobility, giving them a chance to regain independence. Service robots are increasingly integrated into our daily lives. They clean our homes, deliver food, help in warehouses, and even support the elderly. Smart home systems, such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa, use voice recognition to control lighting, temperature, and appliances, creating a seamless human-machine interaction experience. Educational robots, in turn, teach programming and engineering principles to students, making learning more interactive and engaging. However, with all these advantages come important ethical and social issues (Poole, 2012).

The rise of automation inevitably raises concerns about job replacement and workforce transformation. It is essential to retrain employees for new roles that focus on programming, maintenance, and data analysis. Moreover, there are questions about privacy, accountability, and bias in decision-making when robots are guided by artificial intelligence. Governments and international organizations must develop clear legal frameworks to ensure safe and responsible robot integration. The future of robotics is closely linked with the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). Autonomous vehicles, drones, and collaborative robots (cobots) are expected to become a natural part of both industry and public infrastructure. As technology advances, robots will increasingly possess learning capabilities, emotional intelligence, and adaptability to human behavior. To conclude, robotic integration in our lives is not a distant vision – it is our present reality (Silicon Valley Innovation Center, 2024).

The cooperation between humans and machines will not replace human creativity and empathy but will strengthen them, allowing society to reach a new level of efficiency, safety, and comfort. The challenge lies not in stopping technological progress but in directing it responsibly to benefit humanity as a whole (World Robotics Report, 2023).
